Your own perfect pet.
Help your child to create a
‘Wanted’ poster for their own
‘perfect pet’.
You will need:
• a copy of template
• coloured pencils, crayons or textas

Instructions
1. Talk to your child about what sort of a pet they’d like.
This could be an existing pet or one they would like to
have.
2. Draw the pet onto the Wanted poster template.
3. Write the kind of pet your child has drawn in the space
provided.
Ideas
Instead of drawing a pet, cut out animal pictures from
old magazines and glue them to the poster.
You could draw or include a photo of your child next
to the picture of the pet.
How about drawing a fantasy pet such as a dragon,
an alien or a sea creature.
Maybe your child could draw a picture of a friend or family
member with their ‘perfect pet’.
WANTED POSTER
Adult supervision is essential
when making and playing
with home made toys.
Involve and talk with your child as much
as possible while creating this activity.
