TrueBluesmilitia company.DuringtheCivilWar,headvancedtotherankof

Ala.Infantry.Hisdeathwhileleadinghistroopsinbattlein

1862madehimawarhero.

HughBagley,fromAlabamaCity,Alabamaservedasaprivateinthe

QuartermasterCorpsintheU.S.ArmyduringWorldWarI.Bagley

workedinthefurnac esatIronatoninTalladegaCountybeforethewar.

Historycontainslittleinformationabouthiswartimerecord

exceptthatheservedinFrance.Hediedfromdisease,probablyinthe
